Circa 1992-1993 I went to my first party off Motor Street at the Workshop. I fell in love in an instant and started the weekly Wednesday through Sunday night routine at places like: SOA, Fish Dance, Club One, Major Theater, DMC, etc. The music is what moved me. Never getting enough of that music led me to start buying vinyl in 1998. Thanks to good friends like Jason Douglas, Mike Cina, and Wayne I had people to look up to and show me the way.

I bought tables later that year and bought vinyl like there was no tomorrow. I had a house in Highland village at the time and began throwing house parties. At the time I was into older cuts from the likes of Marshal Jefferson, DJ Pierre, and Ten City. Basically anything that reminded me of the time in which I started going out and experiencing EDM. Since my tastes are always changing, I quickly turned to the influence of the San Francisco house sound. In 2000, I started playing at Open Bar and Lounge on Saturday nights with John Vella. Time moved on and so would I and I found myself being moved by other artists like Metro Area, Daniel Wang, John Tejada, and Richard Davis.

In the year 2002, with my good friends Nina Khachatourian and Joel Martinez, we created deep groove productions. We began throwing free parties at the Velvet Hookah on Thursday nights, showcasing the best talent which Texas had to offer. In the following year we moved on to form a new weekly at a brand new club named Crave Café. We would later move on yet again to start a new weekly on Saturday nights at Limelight which showcased the finest techno and electro talent that the city had to offer. Thanks go out to Maetrik, Lacy Lawson, JV, and Minto for their open mindedness in agreeing to take part in that project. This new weekly saw my love for techno and electro flourish and helped to shape the sound that I push today.

Over the past three years as dgp we have thrown countless events showcasing world class talent including: DJ Harvey, Jenö, Darshan Jesrani, DJ Buck, Chris Lum, Titonton Duvante, Juju, Matt Bandy, etc, as well as a plethora of local and extremely talented individuals. We look forward to many more years, and many more great nights.
